dc.description.abstract | An Oscillating Water Column (OWC) is a shoreline device that obtaining power from ocean waves. OWC that act like piston and cylinder, as waves rise inside the chamber it replicate the action of piston, pushing a column of air ahead through the turbine. This report is about development of lab scale OWC and simulates the lab scale OWC by using Computer Fluid Dynamic (CFD) to determine the power generated. The result is extracted from experiment of lab scale OWC in wave tank and simulation in numerical wave tank. By comparing these results, the efficiency of lab scale OWC model is determined. | en_US |
