dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project is to understanding the concept and to gain knowledge of human behavior through seating based on ergonomic theory. Ergonomics is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance. On this basis, human physiological curve, the pressure curve and their function expressions are fitted through mathematical software. And combining the seat material properties, the seat curve in line with the human ecology is deduced, which provides new ideas for the seat design. Based on ergonomics theory, the research analyzes the influencing factors of passenger comfort during long journey of flights, which are, physiological form of human sitting posture and body press distribution..Although the seat is subject to dynamic forces when the airplane is flying, it is still comparable to a conventional one because, as we know, when the aircraft turns correctly the centrifugal force becomes not influential since it is balanced by the centripetal force; the backrest and seatbelt oppose as well to acceleration and deceleration in the same direction of the motion and finally most of the flight goes off with constant velocity. In this research ergonomics is defined as a discipline in its own right, as the theoretical and fundamental understanding of human behavior and performance in purposeful interacting socio-technical systems, and the application of that understanding to design of interactions in the context of real settings. This definition is justified in the financial, technical, legal, organizational, social, political and professional contexts in which ergonomics work. On the basis of the history of ergonomics and contemporary contributions, it is proposed that it is one of the modern sciences, drawing as much from the field as from the laboratory, and including elements of an art and a craft as well. Justification for the new definition is provided by examining the interacting systems which are prevalent in the modern world and which are the domain best understood through the holistic approach of ergonomics.en_US
