dc.description.abstractThis project present and focus on the ricehopper detection system. The title of this project is “Automatic Identification System”. This project explained in details of analysis and design of ricehopper detection system using pcDuino as open source and openCV technique. The extant of the problem incurs million of ooportunity loss per year of paddy crops due to wastes of infested areas, a problem called ‘hopperburn’. As such there exits an inherent issue of performing data collection and relaying early warning on ricehopper attacks in the paddy fields. The final aim of this project is to produce a ricehopper detection system which can count the number of ricehopper trapped. With this system, the data can be analyse according to the time stamp of each image capture based on the number of ricehopper detected.en_US
