metadata.fyp.dc.description.abstract: Radiography testing is one of the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to visualize the inner structure of microscopic samples. The image processing method was adopted into radio graphic image because it is a powerful technique to improve the image quality. In particular, the generation of digital radiography is very useful in the diagnosis phase, because the inspector’s discrimination capacities are strongly improved, allowing to observe directly the comparison of film radiography with digital radiography. The aim of this study is to enhance a weld imperfection image which focusing on image processing method such as contrast enhancement and noise removal in MATLAB. Plus, a MATLAB Graphical User Interface (GUI) will be developed and used to improve the weld imperfection image.
