dc.description.abstractThe ultimate objective of this research is to develop disaggregate models based on a behavioural principal called utility maximization and to enhance the public demand in specific routes or areas. The development process of this research for public trips are composed of main phases work which is to conduct an initial survey in order to determine the most relevant attributes to the travellers, The results of initial survey indicate travel cost, travel time, service headway and comfort were the most important attributes. These attributes were used to develop a stated preference survey of mode choice selection for passenger trips based on Iskandar Malaysia Bus Services. Within the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) (Source: Pemandu, 2010), the National Key Result Area (NKRA) for Urban Public Transport set a number of goals up to 2012 which is raise modal share, Improve reliability and journey times, enhance comfort and convenience also improve accessibility and connectivity, this is important to Bus Iskandar Malaysia to enhance the specific routes or areas.en_US
