dc.description.abstractOne of the problem facing the aviation industry is communication problem, especially miscommunication between aviation personnel. In the technological world of modern air travel,there’s a certain irony in the fact that the majority of aviation disasters are caused by human error. And one of the most common forms of error is miscommunication. Even if just one person makes a mistake, the repercussions can be catastrophic. The are three objectives for this research : 1) To determine the frequency of miscommunication among pilot and air traffic control. 2) To identify factors that contribute to miscommunication among pilot and air traffic controller. 3) To determine communication barriers among pilot and air traffic controller. Typical aviation miscommunication errors are presented as examples and two approaches to miscommunication reduction given: incident based and task analysis based. Examples are given of interventions derived from analysis of incidents and from task analysis. A survey also will be done in order to identify the major factor of miscommunications. Finally, human factors concern any consideration of human involvement in aviation. The human factors leading to human errors rather than technical failures have the greatest potential to adversely affect contemporary aviation safetyen_US
