dc.description.abstractAs technology growth, public transportation service system also contributes proportional to the growth. The classics Passenger Information System (PIS) display board for public transportation has change from mechanical to electronic. However there is more to be upgrade from the current Passenger Information System. This paper presents the design and evaluation of Passenger Information System for public transportation. The project objective is to prepare a system to supply the information from command centre to the passenger waiting area. The system is microcontroller based project which intends to upgrade the traditional PIS to be wireless. This project will be a contribution to a national public transportation service as it will make the system cost effective for their company management.en_US
