The title of this research is ‘Replication Test on Turbine Blade’. This research will focus on metallurgical evaluation of microstructure to be done on aircraft component which is turbine blade. Failure analysis, one of the preventive maintenance in aviation industry, usually using non-destructive testing (NDT) method is applied in this research which is Replication Test. The element involved for the test is suitable for aviation industry as the advantages and disadvantages are stated clearly. Turbine blade is chosen as the subject because it is one of the parts that are exposed to high pressure and high temperature condition. Besides, turbine blades are known to be having a deformation known as ‘blade creep’ after a period of time due to centrifugal force. Therefore, the aim of the research is to encourage the application of Replica Test on turbine blade and to make this paper as a reference for future purposes. The results should be the evidence to measure the dependence of the aviation industry to NDT to make sure that air transportation remains as the safest modes of transportation.en_US
