Abstract: The basis of this project is to development floating modular platform for tooling of economics manufacturing. this floating modular platform is an innovation that we created that can be combined with other. we use the shape of honeycomb as inspiration for this project. however, this floating modular platform as build as a modular concept, so it will be easier to construct and installation too. The main material used to make this floating modular platform is fiberglass due to durability and low cost. A study has been done regarding to the fiberglass properties, it shows that Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic's strength-to-weight ratio can be up to 5 times higher compared to metal or wood products. Fiberglass also can do the maintenance while the plastic material cannot be fixed if there have any damaged happened. A research also be done to find the suitable design and materials used for the project in order to make it much reliable as a modular concept. The main option to make the mold for fabrication fiberglass is by doing using 3D printing machine. This is because of the structure of design contains many angles that connected to each other. The advantages of 3D printing are that easy to handle and low cost as it is made of recycled and low-cost materials. Technical knowledge and skills such as design need to implemented during process to the procedure for completing this project.
