Local Correction Factor (LoCoF) is a method that was introduced by the Monitoring System Team of Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT). LoCoF is used to give corrections upon coordinates or positions of a person, vehicle, or object. For example, the coordinates of a vehicle given by a Global Positioning System (GPS) is not entirely accurate. By using LoCoF, the accurate position of the vehicle could be known. In LoCoF, several ground stations are simulated where these ground stations would parlay data that would be used and manipulated to obtain the accurate position of a person, vehicle, and object. This paper elucidates the workings of LoCoF.en_US
