Authors: MUHAMMAD FAIZ BIN JOHARI, Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Data Communications
Issue Date: 9-Dec-2019
Abstract: This paper has proposed a development of vehicle tampering detection system with theft prevention. Nowadays, theft of vehicles is rampant. To solve this problem, most vehicle owners use protection systems on their vehicles. The main purpose of this project is to prevent thieves from stealing vehicles by creating a system that can warn vehicle owners via text message. The system uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) sensors where only owners have access to their vehicles. When this sensor is not installed on the vehicle and the engine is switched on, the system will automatically send a text message to the vehicle owner and the engine will shut down automatically. Thus, vehicle owners can prevent their vehicles from being stolen. This project uses the GSM module to send SMS and Arduino Uno as the driver that determines whether to send SMS or not. RFID sensor as a detector that determines whether the engine is powered on by owner or not.
