dc.description.abstract | This research emphasizes on energy and weather data of Innoplex building as a case study where the cooling system is the main system to maintain comfort condition throughout the building areas entirely. The objective of this research is to reduce the accuracy of the input parameter changes by determining the highest contributing factors towards energy segments and proposing the energy calibration measures. The calibration was carried out on the EnergyPlus simulation tool which integrated with Sefaira Architecture web-performance. To evaluate the accuracy of the model used, Mean Bias Error and Coefficient of Variation of the Root Mean Squared Error were calculated. The results obtained earlier must be consistent with ASHRAE guideline 14 limits for a model to be considered calibrated. Energy calibration of a commercial building is affected by a few factors that can be identified through different amount of monthly energy consumption between simulated and measured data based on the electricity bills produced at the end of a specific period of time. In this study, the calibration results from the simulation are evaluated and the lowest index will be selected as the best strategy to improve energy performance. | en_US |
