dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project is to develop an android based home automation using raspberry pi. This project focuses on the smart home electrical appliances such as light and fans so that they can be controlled from a far or mobile communication 3G network were deployed in the smart home system. Status of the fan or light whether it is off or on are collected by the Raspberry Pi as the processor. The access point will transmit data using internet. Then the data is accessed using smart phone operating in Android application. In recent years, the home environment has been a rapid introduction of network enable digital technology. This technology offers new and exciting opportunities to increase the connectivity of devices within the home for purpose of smart home controller, due to their portability and their wide range of capabilities. They can communicate with a smart home controller network through an internet gateway. These project create a user friendly interface for the android device that allow a user to communicate with the Raspberry Pi server. The server communicate with the corresponding relay. By this I offer a scalable and cost effective Home Automation System.en_US
