dc.description.abstractThis study concentrated on pitching motion analysis of a ship model at static condition, 0 m/s experiencing head seas in regular waves. The experiment is carried out at Universiti Teknologi Petronas by using one meter ship model of an Interceptor 10.97 m. The parameters of the vessel is identified and the wavelength is varied from 0.5 meter to 1.5 meter whilst the wave height was setup from 0.031 meter to 0.094 meter. This research describes the pitching motion of a ship, parameters of the ship and wave characteristics including the method on how the experiment was carried out.en_US
