These days of Heating, Ventilation, and Conditioning (HVAC) ducting system are widely used in almost every building. The ever-increasing height of skyscrapers and their complex ventilation ducting system pose a difficult problem in maintaining the system. Thus, this project proposes to achieve two objectives. Firstly, an inspection robot that is effective and robust to operate in varying sizes of ducting system network. Secondly, the robot should also be versatile to undertake various tasks. These objectives could be achieved by being small enough but at the same time, modular for customisation or expansion option. The robot must also have a simple control panel system, and a no-hassle setup to get the operation started. The robot is expected to be able to manoeuvre in the ducting network and capture live video for inspection purposes is done. Further research will be needed in order to have the most suitable design in terms of adaptability as this paper focuses only on having the most practical and economical design.en_US
