Abstract: The issue of global warming coming from solar radiation becomes an opportunity for people to take advantage as of the generating of solar energy. Solar energy is renewable ways to generate electrical power without emissions or noise with existence of photovoltaic (PV) panel. The conversion from solar energy to electrical power begins when the solar radiation strikes the PV cell. The conventional solar PV panel that had been use by a user only in a static track and find difficult to change the panel and disables to move according to the sun movement. Accordingly the charge controllers in PV system fail to proper charging of the batteries thus the power output is lesser. The project is a development of PV panel to track the existing solar present to the system and used microcontroller as a brain to control the whole system. The Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) had been used to sense the intensity of light at 30 degree each or 180 degree total and sent the data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to compare the data and rotate a stepper motor based on the highest intensity of light. Switching happened when battery level getting low and vice versa.
