A STUDY ON THE SAFETY ASPECT OF BOATS PASSENGR JOURNEY FROM MARANG TO PULAU KAPAS

Abstract

Nowadays, safety aspect it is an important issue towards passenger who use the boats services. The researcher found out that the main transportation to Pulau Kapas are speedboat and boat. The researcher also makes observation about the safety aspect of the journey of the boats from Marang to Pulau Kapas and it shows that the safety equipment is not sufficient. Therefore, the safety measures of the journey from Marang to Pulau Kapas are very important to be taken such as preparing safety jacket and float. The safety jacket is the basic safety as if there are any accidents; the passenger still be safe in water. If the safety equipment is not provided, this result in safety issues. This situation can influence the passenger’s trust to use boat services. Once the researcher determined the problem, it help to improve the safety aspect of passenger boats from Marang to Pulau Kapas. Therefore, this study aims to seek the opinion or view on the safety aspect of passenger boats from Marang to Pulau Kapas.
