A STUDY ON THE ACCESSIBILITY OF BUS STOP AT BANDAR SERI ALAM

Abstract

People in Malaysia are more depending on the usage of private vehicles compared to public transportation. The reason of this situation happen is because the people said that the public transportation service such as shuttle bus service did not satisfy their needs. In measuring the satisfaction, there are a few characteristics which need to be analyzed. One of the characteristics in measuring shuttle bus service quality is the accessibility. This title for this is research is “A Study on the Accessibility of Bus Stop at Bandar Seri Alam.” The scope of research area will be in Bandar Seri Alam area. The research is being done to identify the current level of accessibility of bus stop in that particular area. There are a few factor which will affect the accessibility level such as population and socio-economic factor. One of the problems that related to bus service in the research area is, the accessibility did not achieve the satisfaction level which is on 39% from the whole network. This research will analyze the accessibility based on a few factor, then from the result, the researcher will make a mapping to construct a new location for bus stop so that the accessibility will be according to standard measurement.
