dc.description.abstract This paper believes ‘technopreneurship” or Tech Entrepreneurship is the answer to the new revolution based on the Information Communication Technology. Technopreneurship is found to play an important role and is a critical success factor for any high-tech venture. The problem with technopreneurship is not a lack of demand; but the problem is overcapitalization, unrealistic expectations and companies living off their investors instead of their profits as correctly pointed out by Dan Balaski (1999) in his column in Entrepreneur.Com. The questions that need to be answered how do we constitute a technopreneur. How do we classify them and what make them stand out from the conventional entrepreneur. With this in mind technopreneur has become more accepted over the past few years, and more people are looking at it. The researcher believe there is a significant difference between an entrepreneur and a technopreneur, with the latter having an advantage on the mastery of the technology element besides possessing good business acumen. en_US
