dc.description.abstract Wind power is one of the most important sources of renewable energy. Wind-turbines extract kinetic energy from the wind. To convert the kinetic energy into electricity, the wind turbine, which includes rotor blades, shaft and electricity generator is needed. Rotor blade is the most important part because when the wind forces the blades to move, it will transfer most of its energy to the rotor. The aims of this study is to improving the existing small scale wind turbine and improve energy capture, under low wind speed conditions using various blade configurations. This report also focuses on designing new blade and hubcap at low wind speed for existing small scale wind turbine to increase the rotational blade wind turbine and increasing energy capture. Currently much research has concentrated on improving the aerodynamic performance of wind turbine blade and hubcap. These efforts are much time consuming. However, wind turbine simulation through Computational Fluid Flow (CFX) software is solutions to aerodynamic blade and hubcap analysis problem. This report has been divided to five categories which are chapter 1 introduction, chapter 2 literature review, chapter 3 methodology and chapter 4 implementation the project and lastly chapter 5 conclusions and recommendation. en_US
