dc.description.abstract The purpose of this project is to identify customers requirement on jig used to compress recycle aluminium tin. This project also aims to design a new jig for recycle aluminium tin that meet customer requirements. Currently there is no standard tool used by recycler to compress aluminium tin. In addition, methods used by recycler currently such as hammer, leg or rock are not safe, easily to fatigue and time consuming. Therefore, this research aims to design an aluminium tin compression tool that will help recycler. The research uses the technique of Voice of Customer to collect customer requirement via quantitative survey. For the analysis of the research we will use the Pareto chart to identify the main problem faced by the recycler and convert into design input. After that we use AutoCAD to transform all the design input that is state by respondents to the drawing. The result that we expect from this research is identification of customer requirement from Voice of Customer and design a compress jig that is fulfil the needs of customer. The new design can give advantages to customer so they can do their work to compress tin more effectively. A prototype of rough aluminium tin compression jig is made to simulate the design and measure the design meet customer requirement. We hope our product that newly design compress jig can be one of the intellectual properties for UniKL MITEC. In addition, the new design also can give advantages to our society to promote recycle culture. en_US
