A STUDY ON THE IMPACT REGARDING THE CREATION OF NEW PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TERMINAL TO BE LOCATED IN BANDAR SERI ALAM

Abstract

Increasing demand of public transportation services is one of the major factors in increasing the capacity of the services itself. Good public transportation system reflects the performance of the developing country which is helpful especially in tourism industry and provides effective services for the development of the country itself. Through the creation of integrated terminal, it combines several mode of transport to be executed at the same place which offers a reliability of the services itself. This study will discuss on the strategic location for the terminal to be located. The key of good public transportation services may provide flexibility of time, accessibility on every destination requested and reliability in term of time scheduling for the departure. All these mechanisms play an important role in creating an effective integrated public transportation system. Furthermore, creation of new integrated terminal may provide further development in increasing the capacity of operations and improve the public transportation system to a new level. Based on the study, it will discuss on the importance of new integrated public transportation terminal services towards the community and the road users. This study will also discuss on what are the impacts from the creation of the integrated terminal.
