dc.description.abstract Qualitative review of Demand Side Management (DSM) program evaluations identifies multiple factor absent from achievable potential estimates. DSM objective is to modify of consumer demand for energy through a various methods. From Suruhanjaya Tenaga statistics, the demand for energy is increasing rapidly and it is causes the price of energy is increase following the cost to generate the electricity. Furthermore, commercial building and industrial is requires a high usage of electricity. Therefore, renewable energy is important to stabilization the global demand. There are many sources of energy that are renewable and considered to be environmentally friendly and harness natural processes. This study provides a platform to be recommended as an alternative solution to BMI for save the energy thereby reduce the cost on electricity bills. The alternative solution has been recommended by replacing fluorescent tube light to Light Emitting Diode (LED) tube light in UniKL BMI at female hostel. Due to the light is operates for 24 hours and require a high usage of electricity. LED tube light can save the energy up to 50% from the electricity consumption and the power cost is also decrease. The LED and fluorescent tube light have been tested by using Multifunctional Mini Ammeter to proving the electricity consumption for every tube light. Early investment towards this alternative solution is a lot following the price for LED tube light is expensive than fluorescent tube light. Therefore, the costing has been calculated form first year until fifth year to shows a saving that able to gain. Nevertheless, it is give a benefit and profit towards the consumer and also environmental. DSM is important to ensure the electricity can be used for future generation. en_US
