Abstract

Sustainable Furniture Is A Furniture That Made From Material That Can Be Recycled Or Re-Purposed, Renewable And Safe Material. The Purpose Of Sustainable Furniture Is To Reduce Waste Material So That The Waste Can Be Controlled And Environment Can Be Preserve. Waste Wood Will Always Be Produce In Furniture Manufacturing And Normally These Wood Will Be Thrown Out Into Landfills. Some People Will See It As A Waste But Unfortunately These Waste Can Be Used Again And Can Produce Profit To A Company. It Is Called As Reclaimed Material. Normally These Waste Wood Can Harm Environment and Human Because Of the Chemical Usage in the Previous Production. The Objective Of This Project Is To Produce Furniture That Use Pallet Wood As Sustainable Material And Have Longer Functional Lifespan So It Can Contributes To The Environment By Not Adding Any Waste To The Landfills And Can Reduce Waste. Also To Design Furniture That Has Ergonomic Function And Safety To Be Used By User. The Aim Of This Project Is To Understand How To Design Sustainability Indoor Furniture With The Limitation That Occurs And Understand The Material That Suitable To Use For Making The Furniture.
