dc.description.abstract Wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections, such as Wi-Fi becomes more and more important due to with extraordinary growth in the number of wireless devices, real-time application and users connecting to the network which has created the demand for even more wireless speed and range. To meet these growing needs, introduces new standard, known as 802.11ac, provides greater performance than 802.11n with the first generation products operating at up to 1.3Gbps maximum data rates, or about 3 times more rapidly than the maximum 450Mbps data rates of 802.11n in the present day. Performance is a most fundamental issue, leading to improvements in speed, more reliable and efficient communications. Laboratory measurements will be made using this technology 802.11ac through video streaming as a media with frequencies 2.4GHz and 5GHz band required. To setup the wireless network need one laptop as a server connected to access point (AP) in wired medium and one client connect to AP wireless transmission. This research study will reviews on differences between theoretical versus actual environment according to the quality of 802.11 ac standard which suitable for high definition HD video streaming operates in the 5GHz wireless spectrum, which is less prone to interference, very high throughput, and signal strength are evaluated using open source tools for performance measurement. Finally, these performance evaluations will benefit to wireless network community for future reference and implementation. en_US
