Abstract:
Interchange is constructed to smoothen the route that have high density to reduce the congestion happened again. New interchange have to give a good impact to the coverage area. The interchange have to increase the efficiency of the travelling compare than before the development. Efficeincy in term of scheduling, save cost and safety are the important thing to be considered. The capability of interchange to cope the capacity of road user is the most needed, because it can avoid the congestion that can cause accident and delay in arrival at certain location. The Ulu Tiram Interchange project had been started since March 2009, and completed in June 2011.
The purpose of this study are to look for the benefits after the existance of Ulu Tiram Interchange. For this research, the preparation to gather an information is by using questionnaire and distribute to various respondents in Pekan Ulu Tiram. Each of the respondent feedback are important for this research because they have faced the impact on the existance of Ulu Tiram Interchange and can be as an evidence material. The respondents that have been approached is come from passenger, bus operator and taxi operator included with respondent who doing business activities in Pekan Ulu Tiram.
