An Analysis The High Accident Rates Of Heavy Goods Vehicle From Driver Perspective. Case Study Of Area Pasir Gudang, Johor

Abstract

The accidents rate of Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) is more worrying in Malaysia and seems to be a worldwide unwanted phenomenon. In this research, the researchers want to analyze the high accidents rate focuses from driver perspective in Pasir Gudang, Johor. Scientifics studies and investigation the accident of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) from driver perspective is working hours confirm that fatigue and stress among drivers, night driving and long working hours to become high accident rates with other transportation. The objective of this research was to analyze the reason for high rates accident of HGV. The respondents of this study were HGV drivers of Pasir Gudang, Johor. In this research, researcher has focus on the drivers to find out their problems and causing of heavy goods vehicle accidents. The researcher was use correlation and Analysis of Variance by SPSS software to calculate data. Last but not least, researcher has suggest to reduce the accident rates of heavy goods vehicle from driver perspective.
