A Study Of Traffic Calming At Kg. Melayu Majidee Johor Bahru Area By Using ‘Smart Traffic Light Control System’.

Abstract

This study focuses on the improvement the traffic flow at traffic light Kg. Melayu Majidee Johor Bahru area that always prone with traffic congestion. To make an improvement toward efficiency, road planning plays important role in sense to make the smooth of traffic flow operation. The objective of this research was to test the tools of existing system from previous research by the researcher and to see the reduction congestion level before and after the system test at traffic light Kg. Melayu Majidee area. Research for this thesis was undertaken by both an observation and make simulation. This paper was present the major problems that happened at traffic light Kg. Melayu Majidee area cause by traffic congestion. Data was then entered into a simulation software for develop base model of traffic light Kg. Melayu Majidee. The finding in this research also indicate the advantage by using the ‘Smart Traffic Light Control System’ in address the congestion occur at yellow box area trough analysis this system in section ‘What If Analysis’.
