dc.description.abstract Nanocomposites reinforced with polymer–clay often show dramatic improvements in strength, modulus, thermal resistance and gas permeability at lower clay content than conventional filled polymer composites. This paper focuses on most recent studies of the mechanical properties of nanocomposites with polymer–clay. The improvement of mechanisms in the mechanical properties of nanocomposites with polymer–clay is also discussed. en_US
