The development of electronic mailbox using the Arduino

Abstract

These days, mailing services remain the same where postman still come to our house to deliver a letter or parcel. This is because some of the letters or parcels are just cannot be delivered through the e-mail. Basically, a mailbox is often placed outside of the house or offices to make it easy for postman to deliver the letter or parcel. Then, comes to this issue where the consumers are not aware of the delivered letter or parcel in their mailbox because some of us are lazy to check our mailbox frequently due to busy doing our daily activities. So, to overcome this issue, here we come with an idea and successfully develop an electronic mailbox using the Arduino where it can notify the user as soon as the postman inserted a letter or parcel inside our mailbox. Not just that, this electronic mailbox also will tell us what types of letter or parcel that we had just been received. This electronic mailbox will send a notification to our smart phone because nowadays, smart phone is one of the most common used devices in our daily life.
