Development of Smart Home using Raspberry Pi

Abstract

As the project titles implies, Development of Smart Home using Raspberry Pi permits a user to monitor home appliances wirelessly from any places. Besides controlling home appliances, the smart home system also the automation system for electrical appliances inside and outside the house. This project will focus on the safety, security, control and comfort for the user. This development is highly sought after in this high technology era. The system will be equipped with Wi-Fi and home appliances such as lamp, fan, camera and sensors. All the data are collected by the Raspberry Pi that as acts a microcontroller. The image captured from camera and status home control panel indicates whether it is on or off display on the website. The website server is running on Apache equipped with PHP and MySQL database that used to display home control panel to the user.
