dc.description.abstract Oversleeping is a problem most of the people faced for example late for work would affect the adults’ daily routines. This is the main motivation towards the project development. In this project, an alarm clock system is developed to prevent the users from simply dismissed or disable the alarm clock that will lead to oversleeping habit. The developed alarm clock is integrated with a pulse rate sensor as the alarm dismissing mechanism. To dismiss the alarm clock, user needs to perform light exercises and ensure their pulse rate reaches the minimum reading of 110 pulse-beat per minutes (BPM). This project mainly uses Arduino as the microcontroller to perform the program of alarm clock settings and dismissal. This project is to help the users to have a healthier lifestyle by doing some exercise early in the morning and helping users to manage their time much more wisely. en_US
