dc.description.abstract The evolution of technology offers a lot of potential in increasing the human life quality. The quality improved tremendously since internet introduced. As all the aspect is improving, we tend to overseen the necessity that we need which is a better garbage management system. As of the year of 2008, 23,000 tons of waste produced each day in Malaysia. The figure predicted to be increase every year. Solid waste is one of the three major environmental problems in Malaysia. Therefore, in order to overcome this problem, a smart garbage management that known as Project GreenBin purposed. . A smart waste management system is a component of smart cities. This project will be using the latest technology that enabling the Internet of Things (IoT). This bin will be equipped with a single microcontroller board that has the ability to transmit data via Internet. This Internet of Things, (IoT) based project provides a data control management to manage our household waste. en_US
