dc.description.abstract In Malaysia, the pinch meter for neuropathy rehabilitation has not been created yet. Before this, there has someone has designed the pinch meter, but it is for stroke patient only. Neuropathy is the damage of the nerves. It can be on single or several nerves. This project objective is to measuring device to obtain a quantitative assessment on the progress of the patient’s force application abilities of a finger pinch. Currently, pinch meters and do not sense forces small enough to interpret the extreme level of disability of the targeted stroke patient. This project goal is to design a device that is capable of sensing pinch force in 0.09 kg increments in bettering the neuropathy patient rehabilitation process. The method of this project is to pinch the force sensitive resistor sensor by using pulp finger. Pulp finger is conducted between index finger and thumb finger. The subject must pinch as hard as possible to get the maximum strength of the pinch. Results that were taken from two male subjects are totally accurate based on the guideline of the normal and person that suffers from neuropathy disease pinch strength. Based on the result, patient can know their maximum pinch strength. Then, they can upgrade the strength by attend the therapy session and eat a medicine based on the schedule. en_US
