dc.description.abstract This paper describes the experimental setup in order to inspect the crack tip condition. The closed cracks tip such as fatigue cracks and stress corrosion cracks (SCC) is the most important part of the crack in the material that is required to examine because of their accelerated growth. In this paper, 4 MHz transducer (shear wave) with the 250 kHz transducer (pump wave) is used to measure the differences of the nonlinear component generated from the closed crack tip and notch crack tip. Based on this study, there is a correlation between the nonlinear components with the condition of the crack tip when the pump wave is applied to the crack. en_US
