Abstract:
This research aimed to determine the influenced of cutting parameters on to the surface finishing. The pair controlled parameters were spindle speed and feed rate has been used. The types of material has been used is mould steel material DF2 were tested. The Deckel Maho Evolution 50 High Speed Milling was used all over the process. The researcher studied and designed the model for parameter that influenced surface finish produced from High Speed Milling. The results could be implemented to related industry or other surface properties study. The research methodology consist of factorial design three levels two factor (3) as design of experiment (DOE). Then, the mould steel DF2 was tested in order to explore the relationship between the controlled parameters. Within aided from application of Minitab was used to design and analyze the results. As a result, from the ANOVA table it been able to conclude that factor of spindle speed and feed rate does give significant value to the surface roughness (Ra). Its mean this to factor give the influence of surface The optimal machining conditions occur at the when the spindle speed is at 16000 rpm and feed rate 200 mm/min. The surface roughness has been produced is Ra about 0.078 μm.
